Scaling the thermometer / hygrometer

The meters react relatively slowly to changes, but they inform about the conditions in the sauna room with quite high accuracy. If the measurement results seem unreliable, the measurement reading can be scaled according to the perceived temperature and humidity.
The hygrometer shows the relative air humidity in the sauna as a percentage. The maximum value is 100%. Such a result is achieved after wrapping the hygrometer in e.g. a damp, warm towel for 3-5 minutes.
When the hand of the hygrometer has calmed down, adjust the hand of the hygrometer from the back with a screwdriver so that it shows 100%. After adjustment, the hygrometer shows the lower humidity with the proper accuracy.

Thermometer
- to scale the thermometer, you need a second thermometer that is reliable and quickly responds to changes. For calibration, both thermometers are placed at the temperature you want to observe.
When the movement of the indicators of both thermometers or their readings have stabilised, adjust the pointer of the sauna thermometer to show a reading consistent with the other thermometer. After adjustment, the thermometer shows a different temperature with the appropriate accuracy.
